Crazy Changes


Haunted Kitchen got rebranded as Crazy Kitchen!

Instead of Ghosties to fend off, you'll now be facing the Hungrys, demonic baddies that have a huge appetite. This wild update comes with way more than just a new coat of paint, there's been some huge game rebalancing done, so grab your favorite snack and check out the huge list of stuff:

  • Attempt #00002 to rebalance the Appliances.


  • The game's speed multiplier goes up per round instead of increasing by defeating enemies, fixing the issue of progression being too slow early on and suddenly super fast by round 12 and onward.


  • Turrets are now Mini-Appliances! Each Appliance has a unique buildable Mini-App that provides a unique way to attack enemies.


  • Enemies are rebalanced to provide greater challenge with more health and require the player to utilize both the appliances and the Mini-Apps as the rounds go on.


  • Appliances now can gain XP by damaging enemies and auto-upgrade up to level 10 so you'll be able to hit back harder! This also addresses the issue that the Appliances would become unneeded in late game, as the old turrets fended off enemies all on their own.


  • If the Pantry takes damage, the game's speed multiplier temporarily slows back down, but recharges back up to where it was originally instead of staying at the reduced speed.


  • Visuals are totally rebuilt from the ground up, with handcrafted detail that actually now resembles a kitchen (crazy!). New cel-shaded art style is paired with the completely revamped appliances and their race-car inspired stripe designs.


I'm open to any and all feedback, I've made tons of huge changes thanks to players that reached out, some things I didn't even realize needed fixes!! There's a lot more things I wanted to add but ran out of time to add, been busy IRL! 

Here's stuff I'd like to add ASAP in the future:


  • New menus with mouse click compatibility.


  • Further upgrade visuals and give the game more life


  • More maps with a variety of layouts.


  • Simple, but effective overall progression for unlocking maps and other things.


  • New, harder enemies. Mostly bigger enemies that take lots of hits with unique traits.


  • Aim assist for controllers (or some kind of aim lock? not sure what yet but something at least!)


  • More rebalancing!
